Canola meal is a brown, free-flowing meal made from ground canola seeds. Canola meal is one of the most widely used protein sources in animal feed for livestock, poultry and fish. It has an excellent amino acid profile, including high levels of methionine, lysine and arginine, plus it is rich in vitamins and essential minerals.
Canola Meal is obtained by subjecting the seed to a cleaning and oil extraction process. Canola Meal, by definition, is the residue left after the oil is extracted. It is typically available in meal or pellet form.
